Dead Rituals II

by Dead Rituals

/
1.
Every day I fall apart. I can’t even talk. I don’t wanna know. I don’t feel right, but I won’t back down, and it won’t be easy. I fall and fall, but I come back for more. I close my eyes and never let it go. I don’t care if we lose it all. ‘cause after we’re gone, we’ll fade in the dirt. I don’t feel right, but I won’t back down, and it won’t be easy. I fall and fall, but I come back for more. I close my eyes and never let it go. I dream again and fall into your arms The never-ending cycle of our doom I keep a broken memory at my window To help me travel back to me and you.

Slow Down 02:51
I thought I knew the meaning, but I’ve lost the feeling not that I believe in love. Taking me for granted, fading in the background. Caught between the rhythms of you. I am taking my time Slow down, slow down and come to me. I need to lie down I am already over the edge. Heart is like a landslide Racing like a Nascar But I’ll never leave you again Lying on the cold floor Mind’s about to go slow Time to get away now, oh yeah. I am taking my time Slow down, slow down and come to me. I need to lie down I am already over the edge. I found myself forlorn I can see it in your eyes.

When I see you I fall and I cannot get up again On the stone-cold ground in your nowhere town Snowflakes fall in the frozen air There’s a ghost in the walls but I just don’t care When we’re alone and the lights are out When we’re alone and the lights are out I should have known better When I am with you I forget what it’s like to be alone Let it all burn out till the smoke runs out It takes you back to your barren rage There’s a wolf in the room but I won’t get scared When we’re alone and the lights are out When you pull me close, then you cut me out When we’re alone and the lights are out When you pull me close, then you cut me out I should have known better

about

Simply titled "II", the second Dead Rituals EP takes on a different approach when compared to the band's 2019 debut.

The first work was recorded solely by singer-songwriter Andrea Caccese. Songs were etched out on laptops and recorded in random rooms while traveling throughout the states, Australia, and Europe.

These new songs feature other collaborators. The tracks came out of a comfortable environment, filled with analog instruments and effects - more importantly, with creative friends. The final result is intuitive, collaborative, and immediate.

The group's post-punk matrix expands with new ideas and forays into electronic sounds and acoustic instruments.
